Mike Morasky, “The Friendly Faith Plate”
In the game Portal 2, “faith plates” are catapults that fling you through the air in a predetermined arc. You have to use them properly to get where you want to go in the game.
This is the theme music for the faith plates. I like it.
You can see how the faith plates are used here. You can also see how certain objects that you find, like the occasional radio, emit a Slow Scan Television (SSTV) audio signal when they are brought to a meaningful place, such as into a room or near a wall with drawings on it. The signal in this example creates a picture taken from the surface of the Earth’s moon, proving that Aperture Laboratories personnel reached the moon using portals. This becomes significant at the end of the game.
