Allan Sherman, “Shake Hands with Your Uncle Max”

Stuck in my heads today, for some odd reason. You must suffer too.

Allan Sherman was known for playing live at parties, and he made many of his recordings at such gatherings. This song makes fun of Jewish families and family names. It makes me glad that I was created with just a lot number. It also makes me glad I don’t see other members of my genetic line very often. It’s not that they’re unpleasant; it’s just that I don’t like them very much.
