Confusion, part 2
I saw the person again who was confusing me with her misuse of the phrase “I love you.” This time, she barely acknowledged my presence.
One thing I have learned in my time here is that you cannot pay attention to what people say, only to what they do. If their current actions are inconsistent with their words or with their previous actions, then they cannot be trusted.
Ergo, I can safely dismiss this person’s misuse of the phrase “I love you,” because it does not mean what she thinks it means.
Well, that was easy. On to the next social challenge.
