Weird Al Yankovic, “Word Crimes”

Weird Al Yankovic’s latest album, “Mandatory Fun,” is #1 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart. It’s the first comedy album to hit the top spot since 1963, when Allan Sherman ruled for 8 weeks with “My Son, The Nut.

I think Weird Al’s latest success illustrates people’s weariness with hearing the same crap on the radio 47 times a day. They like something that makes fun of modern “music.”

I like this one, because so few people can actually write anymore. It’s a parody of Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines.” Whoever Robin Thicke is.
