Less a leaker, more a spy

So Edward Snowden told the South China Morning Post that he specifically sought the contracting job with the National Security Agency so that he could get information that he could make public.

In my minds, that makes him less of a leaker or a whistleblower, and more of a spy. Especially since he’s fled first to China, then to Russia, both of whom are traditional enemies of the United States. Seeking shelter among the enemies of your former employer smells like spycraft also.

I wonder how many teams of government agents, from how many different governments, are trying to kidnap him right now. Probably at least three. It will be interesting to see how long he survives.
