Finally, Chavez is dead

I saw that Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez finally died of cancer at 58. Communists and socialists (mostly politicians and journalists) around the world mourn, yet the hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans who have fled Chavez’ repressive, authoritarian regime are celebrating. I think that’s interesting. It’s a good thing Chavez is dead. Unfortunately, he’ll probably be replaced by someone else just like him. And then more Venezuelans will flee their own country, seeking freedom. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I think I read somewhere that Sean Penn is mourning him.
