Media whitewashes violent progressives

Former Los Angeles Police Department police officer Christopher Dorner is on the run, suspected of killing a couple in Orange County California last week, and of shooting three police officers, killing one. The national media is doing its best to ignore his Facebook manifesto, which supports another assault weapons ban and gives encouraging “shout outs” to a laundry list of liberal politicians and media figures. (Meanwhile, Torrance police shot two innocent women who were delivering newspapers, mistaking their truck for Dorner’s. The media has dropped this story completely after its initial report.)

Floyd Lee Corkins II pleaded guilty to charges of domestic terrorism this week in his August 2012 attack on the Washington D.C. headquarters of the Family Research Council. Corkins, a volunteer at the DC Center for the LGBT Community, entered the FRC building armed with 15 Chick-Fil-A sandwiches and a 9mm Sig-Sauer pistol, then shot a security guard in the arm. The guard then wrestled Corkins to the ground and held him until help arrived. In his guilty plea, Corkins admitted that he used a “hate map” created by the Southern Poverty Law Center (a liberal hate group) to target the FRC building. The national media has said nothing about the SPLC’s role in helping Corkins plan his attack.

And while US Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ), Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, may not be violent as such, he is under investigation for taking numerous trips to the Dominican Republic to have sex with prostitutes as young as 16. The media are mostly ignoring the investigation, despite this latest scandal being just one in a long history of ethics problems that Menendez has had.
