The Ting Tings, “Hit Me Down Sonny”

This is my favorite tune so far off of The Ting Tings’ new album, “Sounds from Nowheresville,” which they recorded while ensconced in a basement in Berlin, far from the distractions of their native England.

I haven’t heard tubular bells (chimes) used in rock music since Book of Love used them in several of their songs long ago, like “Sunny Day” and “Counting the Rosaries.”

Thanks for that. I liked their song “That’s not my name” but never explored further. They’re refreshing amongst all the tripe in today’s pop music genre.
